Join SPA on a Trip to the Nation’s Capitol September 24th
The Student Programming Association (SPA) announced Monday that it will give Penn State students the chance to visit Washington, D.C. Saturday, September 24th for $30.
SPA’s Edventures Committee is in charge of planning educational programs in which students can travel and learn in various destinations. Last year was the first trip for the Edventure Committee, which was a trip to New York City to see a Broadway show.
With the trip to D.C., students will have the chance to visit five of the Smithsonian’s in DC as well as free time to explore other monuments and historical sites in the D.C. area.
Students that are interested in attending the trip to Washington D.C., can purchase tickets with a valid Penn State ID on Wednesday, September 14th and Thursday, September 15th. With the $30 fee, students will have round-trip transportation to D.C., and admission to the Smithsonian museums (which are free). Other expenses such as food and other museums are the responsibility of the student.
