No Refund Theatre to Perform August: Osage County this Weekend
The No Refund Theatre will soon be presenting its newest production, August: Osage County, directed by Amber Holder and assisted by Mitch Lucas and Bailey Jensen.
On both September 30th and October 1st, at 8:00 PM in 111 Forum, viewers are welcome to see this dark and dramatic performance of three sisters and their dysfunctional mother. The audience will be exposed to the confessions of the Weston family’s personal lives as the father of the house, Beverly Weston, has disappeared.
Violet, addicted to various drugs, and the mother of three women, has fallen ill. After the disappearance of her husband, Beverly, Violet takes this opportunity to say all the things to her daughters that she could have said long ago.
No Refund Theatre was formed in the mid 1990s at Penn State by a group of students interested in theatre. Their first ever performance was Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, and since then have produced and performed countless shows.
With free admission, spectators can come watch the obscure and engaging plot of the Weston family unfold. For more information about the show, visit the event’s Facebook page here.
