SPA to host “For More We Turn to Jessica Williams”

The Student Programming Association (SPA) announced Monday that that Los Angeles writer and performer Jessica Williams will perform in the HUB on October 15th as part of SPA LateNight.

For those unfamiliar with Williams, she is known for holding the role of senior correspondent for Comedy Central’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. As the youngest ever correspondent for the Daily Show, she held the role as correspondent for four years and is now working on her own project for the channel.

In addition to her work on the Daily Show, Williams is also a performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. She’s appeared in TV shows and films as well, including HBO’s Girls and People Places Things. Williams was also featured in 2012 as Variety’s “Top 10 Comics to Watch”.

Williams will be at the HUB-Robeson Center on Saturday, October 15th at 10 p.m. Admission is free for Penn State students with a valid Penn State ID.

Be sure to RSVP for the event on SPA’s event page here.
