Target and H&M Bring More Variety To Students Downtown
It looks like there is an early Black Friday shopping for students at Penn State University!
No, not actual Black Friday shopping. Although, there is basically is a year-round deal of low priced products and clothes because of the two new stores downtown: H&M and Target. This October 6th, both stores officially opened on Fraser Centre with open arms for students and locals to shop away!
It is obvious that both retail chains will be a huge hit. First off, let’s talk about H&M. The Metro, Blue IV, and Urban Outfitters are full of up-to-date trends throughout their individual stores. Choker necklaces, funky-patterned pants, going-out rompers? You got it. But the problem with this is that they’re extremely pricy. A denim skirt for $78.00 from the Metro? Cute but…no thanks. We, college students, are already undeniably busy with classes and other commitments, so the majority of us don’t have the time to work a part-time (or full-time) job. Money is tight, so what better choice is there than to shop at an affordable clothing store, that will still doubtlessly make heads turn when you walk into the room? H&M is known for their quirky but cute graphic tees, chic nighttime outfits (perfect for a Thursday night spent at Indigo), and warm, comfy clothing choices for both guys and gals!
Secondly, it is easy to say that Target notoriously has just about anything and everything. Need school supplies? Fashionable workout clothes? Cool room décor? Anything you could possibly need is at Target. Let’s say your apartment at Penn State is appearing a little dull and you are looking to add some flavor-flave. Spice things up with the help of Target by purchasing Christmas lights, posters, unique quotes, picture frames, and anything else. Not to mention, Target is full of fashionable clothes for both men and women. Swim suits, athletic wear, casual outfits, and shoes (Yes…shoes, many shoes!) are arranged throughout the retail chain. Also, once again, money will not be an issue. After all, their slogan is “Expect More. Pay Less.”
With a Dunking Donuts, Sheetz, Starbucks, and now Target and H&M downtown, Penn State students truly are living the college dream. These two new additions will keep us looking upscale and hot, and also allow us to find any last-minute needed items.
