Tech of the Week: Wireless Headphones
With Bluetooth connectivity, near field communication, and wireless charging the future is disconnected in the most connected way. Naturally the next big thing are wireless headphones for more freedom of movement and connectivity. There are several categories or wireless headphones that are available, but I will be talking about what qualities will work best in what situations as well as some pros and cons.
The best thing and most common use of wireless headphones are to workout in. Qualities to look for are sweat/water proof, hooked ear holding, and inline control. Over the ear wireless headphones aren’t the best choice for working out mainly due to sweat accumulation that can be uncomfortable especially for those intense workouts. For workouts in-ear hooked headphones are the best option not only because they are the most lightweight option they are also relatively inexpensive.

For best sound quality wireless over-the-ear headphones surround your ear with sound with more room for bass and sound production. With controls typically surrounding either ear cup it makes it easy to navigate through songs without having to pull out your device. Not only can wireless headphones connect to virtually all up to date devices in case your phone or MP3 player is dead some even include an FM transmitter to listen to radio until your device is back in working order. Some important qualities to look for are long battery life, padding for comfort, and light weight for comfort.
