SPA to Host “We Are the World: A Cultural Involvement Fair”
The Student Programming Association (SPA) in collaboration with SUPERK (Student Union for Perks) will host a Cultural Involvement Fair set to take place on Tuesday, November 29th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the HUB-Robeson Center’s Alumni Hall.
The event will include free food from Indian Pavilion, Wings Over Happy Valley, Say Sushi and others. Organizations that will be in attendance for the fair include the Hong Kong Student Association, Thai Student Association, Korean Student Association, Italian Student Society, Polish Student Organization and more.
In addition, there will be performances from some of the groups and a special performance from Penn State’s R.A.M. Squad.
The goal of the event is to make students more aware of different cultural clubs on campus. SUPERK, one of the organizations involved in the event, serves as a connector agency between student organizations at Penn State and local retailers by arranging special perks for students. You can learn more about them from an interview we did with the organization here.
Students should bring their student ID with them to the event and be ready to expand their horizons and learn more about the diversity at Penn State.
