Penn State’s Top 2016 Uber Destinations

Uber, a popular mobile ride-hailing app that has taken the world by storm, released a list via email of the top destinations that students at Penn State have taken with the app. Although the email came with only the top three destinations, we were able to grab the top 10 list from Craig Ewer who does communications for Uber.

Coming in at first place was The Retreat, an off-campus housing area in State College. According to Uber, the typical fare was $8.00 from campus.

Following The Retreat was the Johnston Commons in East Halls, which isn’t really too surprising considering how often first-year students use the app.

Next on the list at #3 is Beaver Stadium because let’s be honest: who wants to walk all the way to the other side of campus?

Other destinations include various sporting facilities and the University Park Airport.

Here’s the complete list:

  • The Retreat
  • Johnston Commons
  • Beaver Stadium
  • The Park
  • Penn State Ice Pavilion
  • Bryce Jordan Center
  • The Pointe
  • Smeal College of Business
  • University Park Airport
  • Meridian on College Avenue

Uber has been in State College since early 2015. Recently, the company rolled out upfrontĀ fairs in State College, so users can know exactly how much their fare will cost.
