W.O.R.D.S. to Host Road to CUPSI Poetry Slam Next Week

Penn State W.O.R.D.S. will be holding their ‘Road to CUPSI‘ Poetry Slam February 28th at 7 p.m. in the Flex Theater.

CUPSI is a national slam poetry competition, produced by the Association of College Unions International, that invites poets from universities all over the country to compete for a national title.

The two top winners of this slam will be given the chance to travel with the University’s national team to the CUPSI competition at University of Illinois – Chicago, this April! This trip will include free transportation, lodging and meals.

The two students will not be competing will the team at CUPSI, rather they will be able to participate in workshops, open mic events, and many other activities offered at the national conference.

There is a $10 entry fee for competitors and only undergraduate students can sign up, but this event is free for the public.

You can sign up for the slam here, or find out more information on CUPSI here.

Come out and support Penn State W.O.R.D.S. Next week!
