State Champs, Don Brocco Rock the Stage During SPA Concert
Thursday night, English band Don Broco opened the concert for pop punk band State Champs to perform in Alumni Hall courtesy of the Student Programming Association’s (SPA) Entertainment Committee.
Don Brocco set the tone for the night, hyping the crowd up for State Champs’ performance. Last night’s concert was the band’s first show ever in the United States. Rob Damiani, Don Brocco’s lead singer, addressed the crowd saying, “We’re so stoked we’re doing this tour with State Champs.”
The band performed some songs off their second album that was released at the end of last year. The energy from the stage poured into the audience as Damiani jumped off the stage and reached into the crowd. Fans went wild, trying to grab his torso.
After a brief intermission and stage change, State Champs was ready to perform.
The pop punk band from New York lit up the stage after fans were so anxious to see them. The fans went ballistic as they jumped up and down, simultaneously singing along to their songs. The different colored flashing lights created such a vivid picture of the band’s creativity. Being their first performance in the U.S. for their current tour, State Champs was excited to be at Penn State.
Yo, Penn State, that was FUN. Let's get some more college gigs going. Tell your student body council how cool we are. 😎💅🏻
