Queso is finally at Chipotle
Chipotle Mexican Grill announced Tuesday that the chain will start serving queso at its locations, following a host of requests from Chipotle diners.
The restaurant said on its website that the they “refused to roll it out until we cracked the code on making it with only real ingredients.” The queso will be “preservative free, without added colors or flavors, and made with all-real, all-delicious ingredients.”
Ingredients in the queso include aged cheddar cheese, tomatillo, tomatoes, poblano pepper, red wine vinegar. The only ingredient in the queso that will not be perseverance free is lemon and lime juice, which can be used as a preservative but is used for taste.
The queso costs $1.25 with a meal or $5.25 for a side order.
A few people have taken to twitter to try to queso, and reviews have been mixed.
