HVML to Bring Girlpool to Penn State
This Halloween, Happy Valley Music Label (HVML) are bringing acclaimed folk punk band Girlpool to Penn State for a night of (possibly spooky) music. Palm, Old Maybe, and Sea Offs are joining the band to perform at Chronic Town, Oct. 31. Attendees are encouraged to come in costume.
Fresh off the release of their beautifully vulnerable 2017 sophomore album “Powerplant,” Girlpool is currently touring North America supporting the 12-track project. Comprised of Cleo Tucker, Harmony Tividad, and (more recently) Miles Wintner, the band’s work embraces both harsh electric distortion and acoustic beauty, sounds that are stylistically at odds, but join in their ability to showcase Girlpool’s raw emotional appeal.
On Oct. 27 there will be a presale on the ground floor of the HUB at Table #5. Tickets will be $5 with a Penn State ID card. From 12 p.m.-4 p.m. only students will be permitted to purchase tickets. From 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., tickets for the public will be sold for $7. You must come in person and pay with cash.
Tickets will also be sold at the door on the day, at the same prices, on a first-come-first-served basis.
